The Epic H1N1

It's too bad that we don't live in Afghanistan because according to CNN.com this past week Afghanistan has closed every school due to the rapid spread of H1N1. The schools will be closed down for weeks, nobody knows for how long, presumably until the disease isn't so rampant. As some people may have seen the masks people were to protect them from the disease, those masks are also used in Afghanistan by all ages. However many of the people in Afghanistan are afraid and are in need of Tamiflu shots. It's amazing how one disease can cause so much panic all around the world. Hopefully we will see this disease go away in the near future.

  1. That's crazy that it has gotten so out of control they have to close down schools! Do yow much worse it is there compared to here numbers wise? I wonder what types of measures they are taking to slow down or eliminate the disease in Afghanistan?
